I'd like to describe the weather the past few days as whimsical. One minute, it's clear and sunny. The next minute, it's pouring in biblical proportions. I found myself one time stranded in a park gazebo waiting for the torrential rain to subside. While I was looking aimlessly at my surroundings (as there was nothing else I could do at that time), I noticed that the headlights of cars stuck in traffic made the rain and almost everything it touched look quite dramatic. So, I pulled out my smartphone and took some shots, unsure if it would accurately capture the scene as I saw it. Suffice it to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how the photos came out. Indeed, the best camera is the one that's with you.
