“She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future”. Currently this is a verse/mantra that is helping in the season I am in. I have had some big highs and big lows recently as I am still working on loving myself. A huge reason for my lows is my continued battle with people pleasing. In the process I end up hating myself, hurting myself and in turn I hurt the people I love the most. It’s a vicious cycle that I’m becoming more and more aware of, working on breaking and mastering this area of my life. But it’s a process and I have had to forgive myself, ask for forgiveness and come back stronger! Sometimes we get so lost and caught up in trying to please everyone and make everyone happy that we loose our vision, self love, self care, peace of mind, happiness, etc. And sometimes you have to reach a low point to realize it. This does not make you bad, it makes you human. But it will also lead to a very sad and unfulfilled life if you are not aware and don’t strengthen your ability to say NO and take your power back. This means letting go of people and things that are not serving a purpose in your life but rather dragging you down. I know this all too well. If I can encourage anyone especially many of us women, it is to remember who you are and who God says you are. A child of the most high, a queen, a warrior, you have a purpose, you are not alone, you were chosen for greatness, you are beautiful as you are, you are strong! Forgive yourself, forgive others, and then straighten up your crown and walk in your power. No matter how bad we screw up or how dark it gets, just remember that you are not alone, that you are loved and you should expect to be loved just as you are. Pray, meditate, go for walks, find things to be grateful for, remember your why!!! And ONLY surround yourself with people that will remind you of your greatness when you cannot see it for yourself!
