I'm standing in a field ...next to an outdoor table built of wood. Its maker, long gone ...its got more character and strength than most 'things' I've encountered. It felt like an old friend. It was. One with the elements ...in harmony with the outdoor expanse that surrounded it. It had a history with us. A memory maker ...it kept records of them upon its scarred surfaces. Runes ... a language born out of love ...known only to us. We knew what every mark meant. It hosted holiday gatherings, barbecues, home projects, many meals, quite moments while gazing at the stars ...and it continued to serve well. You were sitting down at it. You had a simple, lovely, dress on. A wide brim hat. The kind that a lady would wear ...protection from the sun. A country outfit. Attire befitting a "Lady of the Prairie." You are smiling ...laughing at me. Eyes bright ...as always, they are sparkling from within ...enchanting any who would see them. That soul of yours saying hello to the world. You are so beautiful. You are happy ...in a space ...place where you are present. You are calm ...at peace. You are safe ...secure and loved. You are home. You are looking at me. And I was looking at you because ...I cant not look at you. That's why you were laughing. This is a thing. I adore you from 'afar' ...you catch me doing it. A beautiful exchange of energy ...a welling up from within. A mutual understanding, no words are needed. A wonderful feeling. Both of us look very healthy ...robust. Got some color. A little rosy about the cheeks. A suggestion that this land ...is ours ...and that we are one with it. We are earthy. A little weathered ...older ...the lines on our faces ...are the right ones in all the right places. They tell a story about a life, where love, laughter and kindness won out. (Continued in comments)
