INTERSTELLAR (2014)
This movie follows a team of explorers as they travel through a wormhole in the hope to find another habitable planet and ensure humanity's survival.
This movie is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The cinematography is amazing and the visuals are stunning. I wish I had seen it in IMAX. You can easily tell that a lot scientific research was done before filming started.
The plot is so interesting. You never know what's gonna happen next, you can't even predict anything. You think it's going somewhere but it almost never does. The
unexpected turn of events definitely kept the movie intriguing until the end.
I'm not gonna lie, I have so many questions about the movie, even after reading some explanations online. But that's actually a good thing (for once) because it makes me want to watch it a second, and even a third time. I think that, similarly to "Inception", the more you watch it, the more you understand it.
Acting wise, the movie has career-definining performances from Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Chastain. The way they displayed all these emotions was so well done. You can feel the pain from their gestures. Anne Hathaway was incredible as well and even though his cameo was very short, Matt Damon gave a very convincing performance, so much that I didn't see one of the plot twists coming at all.
The movie is accompanied by a beautiful and haunting score. Once again, Hans Zimmer did what he had to do.
Overall, I think this is one of the definining movies of this decade. If you haven't seen it yet, what the hell are you waiting for?
