🔎 Bivak pod Skuto is an improvised camp site located in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The climb is a steep 3.5 hour hike up Skuta mountain (2539m above sea level). Bivouac is a result of a project designed by students from Harvard University and can sleep up to 15 people and sits 300m below the peak of the mountain. Hiking in Slovenia heavily depends on the weather conditions and the Skuta trail is suitable only for experienced, physically well-prepared hikers only. Bivak Pod Skuto is unmanned and free to stay at but is primarily meant for emergency situations therefore, do not stay for more than one night.
