Si buscas equilibrio, Tranco no es tu vino. Pero el equilibrio no es todo en esta vida. De hecho, a veces, resulta hasta aburrido.
Tranco Monastrell-Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 se elabora con la uva reina de la D. O. Yecla en un coupage con Cabernet Sauvignon que ha envejecido durante tres meses en barricas de roble francés y americano.
De color profundo, presenta una nariz intensa, con caramelo, fruta muy madura, madera, ahumados y tabaco. En boca hay acidez y un trago no muy largo, con una entrada intensa y un final láctico, incluso mentolado.
En conjunto es un vino agradable (que no fácil) y diferente, fruto de una tierra de suelos pobres, de clima extremo y del saber hacer de cuatro generaciones de una misma familia de viticultores. Si lo pruebas, a lo mejor te gusta o a lo mejor no puedes con sus desequilibrios, pero al menos no tendrás que romper la hucha para hacerte con él.

Tranco Monastrell-Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 is made with the queen grape of D. O. Yecla in a blend with Cabernet Sauvignon aged for three months in French and American oak barrels.
Deep in color, it shows an intense nose, with caramel, very ripe fruit, wood, smoke and tobacco. In the palate there is acidity and a not very long sip, with an intense start and a lactic, even menthol, finish.
Altogether it's a pleasant (not easy) and different wine, the result of a land of poor soils, extreme weather and the know-how of four generations of the same family of winemakers. If you try it, maybe you like it or maybe you can't stand its imbalances, but at least you won't have to break the bank to get it.
