When we pulled back the original 1980s mothballs carpet we couldn't believe our luck.. we uncovered beautiful and original floorboards which we thought we in excellent condition.. it wasnt until a plumber popped round and he had to get under the floorboards when his screwdriver went straight through it.....we had completely rotten floorboards which had been chewed to bits.
