Celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary! Well...can you call it a wedding? We were so young and poor that we got married in a cubicle at the Ventura County Court House! We laughed so hard! Rafa wore jeans and crocks (yes, they were popular back then!) and his only button up shirt. I wore my only white dress. Weeks later, as we were organizing photos for Rafa’s green card interview, we actually realized that both of us wore the same outfits on our first date at a carnaval in Argentina as we did on our wedding day!! 😂😂👰🏼🤵🏽 Ha! It’s been an amazing up and down and all around last 12 years. Our driving mantra is “Let’s have fun! Vamos arriba!” And that’s exactly what we try to do.

If you don’t know our story, 12 years and 8 months ago, we saw each other at a hostel and then officially met on the beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Rafa joined my 6-month South American adventure from that day on and we took off traveling the continent by bus! These are some of our first photos from Patagonia to Machu Picchu....doing our favorite kissing pose along the way! 🤣😘 Looking forward to the next 50 years! ❤️🥰.
