REVIEW: Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary 🚝
First of all the atmosphere is cheerful, bright and welcoming. In our opinion it’s a great way to start a Disney vacation. The monorail coming in and out of the hotel was not distracting at all. The monorail is an interesting touch as other restaurants/resorts do not have. Some people complain about the noise but the restaurant is very lively. And there’s cheerful music playing.
The food is pretty good too. (Mom side note: the alcoholic drinks are great. Out of all the drinks on our trip, their watermelon margarita was my favorite) It’s a buffet style restaurant and the food seemed to be very fresh to us.
You meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto in their cute chef’s outfits. Our only complaint is that is that the character meet and greets feel very rushed. It’s a great spot to meet a chunk of characters but you feel that they don’t spend a lot of time with your kids. It’s pretty much just autograph, picture and go.
Overall we think Chef Mickey’s is a fun time. Unique atmosphere and good food. And a good number of characters! 🍽🐭
