I received some questions about how I created the textured look on the cross cookie from a few days ago, so I recorded a video (my first ever 🙆♀️) with a spare cookie to show the process. .

A few tips to creating this look:
✔ Make sure the outline shape is completely dry before starting the texture process as it will serve as the barrier when spreading the dots. ✔ Use an outline consistency icing for the dots so the texture holds its shape. ✔ Make your dots large enough that when you spread them they don't "break." Don't worry if some of your base dots do, you can cover the break in the second and third layers! ✔ I used a flat icing spatula, but an offset spatula will work too, just make sure it's a small size (4"-6" in length) so the tip is narrow! Wipe the spatula clean between each dot so the colors don't mix! .
