🔅I am the worst when it comes to resting. I naturally feel guilty when I take a nap or say no to a friend who is wanting to go on a lunch date but once I started tracking my cycle and understanding the different phases my body and hormones were  going  through on a monthly basis things started to shift. Instead of feeling guilty, I felt empowered to give my body what it needed during that time so that I could feel rejuvenated instead of depleted. .<br />🔅Phase 1 of your cycle is the menstrual phase. Starting on the first day of your period and lasting about 3-7 days.<br />.<br />🔅Its called the inner winter phase as so it is in nature the time to rest and conserve energy.<br />.<br />🔅During this phase, your hormones are at their lowest including testosterone, estrogen and progesterone.<br />.<br />🔅The left and right brain hemispheres are communicating the most between each other which offers the best time time be self reflective and evaluate what is and isn’t working in your life. .<br />🔅With your energy being low, soothing and restorative exercises like walking, stretching and yoga are the best to help your body complete this cycle. .<br />🔅You’re not going to feel the most outgoing during this phase so give yourself permission to just say no to activities with friends.<br />.<br />🔅Eat comforting and remineralizing foods like soups, kale, and dark berries. .<br />🔅Calming and Soothing essential oils like Lavender, Cedarwood, and Frankinsence are tremendous in helping support our emotions too.<br />.<br />🔅If you want to learn more about your cyles and how to support them sign up for my monthly Happy, Healthy, Healing Hormone email club that will start the first week in November- it’s in my profile and completely free!
