Every one of us has vulnerabilities. We picturize situations upfront, both the visual aspect and the emotional side. We tend to adjust the visual aspect but can’t really take control of the emotions. Everything starts to crumble once the reality is slightly higher than the expectation. We get paranoid, wanting the person to stay a little longer. We are not sure if we need to let out our vulnerabilities upfront or show off the gold and glitter side of ours to make them stay.
It really gets tricky, you might scare them with your vulnerabilities. Worse, get played by them. Just like Rob’s cheekbone, the physical aspect has healed. The injury on his arm, it sure will heal, but the scar would remain. The same goes with our emotion, they do get healed. It is we who keep them alive by revisiting through memory, keeping the wound afresh.
We all need validation in this world.
