I often have people ask me how to cook using no oil?
•
When I first found the WFPB diet and started eating this way my meals were quite bland. I didn't think that there was a lot I could make if I wasn't using any oil. It wasn't until I found the recipes on the @forksoverknives website that it all changed.

After using these recipes for a few months I started to pick up all the tricks and now I feel like I could cook anything without oil. It's even a fun challenge trying to find substitutes to recreate old favourite meals.

A few tips for cooking with no oil that I use are:
🍇 sautè in vegetable broth or water
🍉 use good quality non stick pans and always bake using baking paper
🍊 use apple sauce, banana or maple syrup in baking as a replacement for the oil
🍋 use flax eggs to add moisture that oil would
🍍 boil a tablespoon of flaxseeds in 1/2 cup water until the water turns to an egg white consistency, then drain and discard seeds. Use this to add moisture also
🍌 boil starchy veggies for 5 minutes before roasting
🍆 kumara can be cut in half and placed straight in oven.
🥭 glaze vegetables before baking with something like miso paste or a teriyaki sauce
