It's that time of year again...<br />Pumpkin carving, costumes, frickin stupid fake spider webs every where, real spider webs everywhere  blow up lawn ornaments that look like garbage on your lawn when they are not inflated... And, unfortunately, cold season.<br /><br />Have any of you used zinc lozenges before?<br /><br />They are actually an excellent way of kicking the onset of a cold.<br /><br />Have they not worked for you in the past?? It's because there is a very SPECIFIC way in which you have to use them in order for them to work. (Follow instructions below)<br /><br />1.) Use ONLY lozenges (no pills, no tablets)<br />2.) Use Zinc Acetate (not gluconate or other forms of zinc with additives)<br />3.) The lozenge must dissolve 20-30 min in your mouth<br />4.) Take 15-18mg of the zinc acetate every 2 hours.<br />5.) Take as soon as you feel any symptoms. After you have waited too long, the zinc really does you no good.<br />6.) Make sure there is no magnesium in the lozenge or anything else ending in "ate" or "ic"<br /><br />Remember to stop taking zinc as soon as you do not have symptoms. High amounts of zinc can cause problems too.<br /><br />Sometimes you will still get sick using this remedy, but the duration is often cut back by a week (or longer) and the symptoms arent nearly as severe.<br /><br />Amazon sells "Life Extension- Enhanced Zinc Lozenges" that meet similar parameters.
