With roots dating back to 1660, this is one Istanbul's most famous bazaars. It’s also the place to pick up tea, Turkish coffee, sweets, jewelry, pottery, dried fruits and nuts.
Spice Bazaar is a smaller, more civilized version of the Grand Bazaar, focusing on spices, teas, and sweets. Sampling is encouraged. Prices are better than Grand Bazaar & Istiklal. Prices are more or less same as some of the smaller street vendors. Make sure to bargain. Many vendors will vacuum pack your purchases to facilitate transporting home.
