Meet Nicole! 👋🏽 She’s our token American at Burnt Honey! 🇺🇸 She’s also the mastermind behind the Doritos, dill pickle and ketchup chip flavoured macarons, together with Kara. 🔥 Originally from Pacific Palisades, California, Nicole studied sculpture at Skidmore College in New York for four years. 🎓 Shortly after earning her degree, she became fascinated with sculpted cakes and attended the baking program at the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of California. 🎂 Nicole’s background in art and sculpture has helped her in her career as a pastry chef and she’s a great help to our team when it comes to colour mixing. 🎨 She’s been the main macaron maker at Burnt Honey over the last eight months and was the key to ending the great macaron shortage that you might remember in the first few weeks of February, when we had just opened our doors. 😬 When she’s not at Burnt Honey, Nicole enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Brandon and her two tornadoes of energy: Cinder and Bear. 🐱🐱 On the weekends, you might find her playing World of Warcraft or outside of Burnt Honey with her cat on a leash. We love her quirkiness and her fearless creativity when it comes to flavour combinations. We’re so grateful to have Nicole as a part of our Burnt Honey family! ❤️ •
