It’s been a busy 7 days for my clients as they all put out their awesome Christmas projects. This is no exception! I was very honoured to be one of two producers to work on the ‘Yellow’ album by US singer-songwriter Annabella @annabellasmusic . I produced this title track and three other tracks from the album. This track was a tad experimental when on mixing duties as we were after a vintage sound on the vocals but still sounding modern. So I applied the intercom preset from the @soundtoys Echoboy Jr and imported a crackle sample to create an old vinyl tape sound for the first half of the song. Then the vocal switches to a more modern sound half way through. It was great fun working with Annabella and her manager/label @arlinwcarter .
