On this weeks #subeityourself I figured out what was causing the horrendous popping noise on the first push of the brakes. The hardware in the second image was constantly shifting back and forth, replaced it and back to normal. Which even lead to a popping noise on cold start driving... that honestly sounded like a bad u-joint or cv axle. Glad to have figured it out and fixed it up. My other thought was a bad control arm bushing. -
