A New Saddle Part 1: Three long days of hunting, fishing and herb collecting near Rhodes and Flat Iron Lake... It sure takes it's toll on the body. I'm a bloody mess!
Though it was getting on dusk, I decided to make my way to Valentine with my herbal order for the doctor once I took my kills to the butcher in Rhodes.
I dropped in at the Stable here for my new saddle. George, Amos Levi's apprentice says it won't be ready till late tomorrow, so I got me a room for the night and I can't wait to get cleaned up and enjoy a good sleep in a clean dry bed.
I sure hope J is making out ok in New Austin... He headed out to GapTooth Ridge to see a man about a possible place for us to rent long term. I'm not one to complain but I'm a forest kinda gal. I'm not too keen on desert living, but you gotta start somewhere I suppose, so it if comes to be, I've already made up my mind to make the best of it.
I'm to meet him at Bonnie's Ranch in 2 days time and see what he figured out.
