Yesterday’s Ironman season opener at @calspeed_karting was a lot of fun. Didn’t have much success in qualifying, and only managed a 20th place on the starting grid. As the race got going, I was able to work my way through the field without too much drama, including smooth pit stops, that allowed me to finish in P6 after the checkers dropped. I missed the top 5 by a kart length, but it was fun chasing people down. 6th is still my best finish in Ironman, and this time without a penalty for missing weight! Lol
Not a bad way to get the new season going, though.
