Today I’m reviewing the new album by rapper Future called The WIZRD. -
I wasn’t looking forward to this at all. After hearing all of Future’s projects and not liking one of them. I didn’t want To review this. But I’m happy I could say it was a pleasant surprise. I’ll start with the negatives. Most of the lyrics are very basic and stuff I’ve heard before, like on the lead single Crushed Up, but sometimes he hits with a story-telling track with him talking about used to being a drug dealer and a drug kingpin. Some of the production didn’t really hit me, and that’s sad because the beats are mostly the best part of his large discography. Future seems more relaxed on this than most other albums & mixtapes and that’s good. Ha sounds better and more energetic and not the same old trapper all the time. My highlights on the project were Overdose, Baptiise, Temptation, Never Coming Back & Faceshot. Faceshot has some great flows by everyone and it’s a hard track. -
