When we went to San Juan Island, it was a little small and we could drive the whole length in a half hour, but there were some really amazing parts. The landscape was amazing and the sun spent most of the time backlighting some amazing clouds. The mountains looked like they were floating in air and the sky was on fire. We had to stop and just look for a while. The only downside was that it was blisteringly cold... in fact, if you look closely enough, you can see Amy keeping warm in the car while I try to avoid getting run over while taking this picture from the middle of the road.
