WHAT’S HUMPDAY WITHOUT A LEG WORKOUT? 🍑🍑 ⁣<br />⁣<br />Sorry I don’t know why I’m yelling but now that I’ve got your attention, swipe and save for your next leg day! ⁣<br />⁣<br />I think there is a huge misconception that in order to work your hamstrings, you have to do 100kg deadlifts all day everyday but it’s more important to do exercises that suit YOU and your body. I did this workout on Monday and my hammies are still broken. Sometimes a shorter range of motion is better, sometimes compounds are not the answer and sometimes the more simple and effective movements are superior. Yeah I went there 💁🏼‍♀️⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Banded Abduction 3 x 12 - 15⁣<br />I use this primarily as an activation exercise as it’s a great way to get the glutes firing! Shout out to @gracefituk for making the best resistance bands I’ve ever used 🔥⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Single Leg RDL 3 x 8⁣<br />Can I get a wuuut wuuut for isolation exercises? 💁🏼‍♀️ Lately I’ve found that I feel single leg movements way more than if I do them with both legs and it’s a good way to switch up a movement if you’re getting bored with it.⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Lying hamstring curls 3 x 12 - 15 ⁣<br />My apartment gym doesn’t have a lying leg curl machine and tbh that whole dumbbell in between my feet doesn’t sit well with me so using a resistance band is the next best thing and I’m obsessed. The burn. The pain. ⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Swiss Ball Hamstring Curls 3 x 12 - 15⁣<br />The single most under rated hamstring exercise there is. Try it. If you can find your balance.⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Seated Leg Curl 3 x 8⁣<br />Standard.⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Cable Pull Throughs 3 x 8⁣<br />Yeah I know this makes you look like a twat but hip thrusts are so difficult to set up so I made do with what was available 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Nordic Hamstring Curls 3 x 8⁣<br />If you can actually get these right, they’re amazing. Try make sure you’re keeping tension on the hamstrings on the way down and when you physically can’t even anymore, push yourself up and try again. ⁣<br />⁣<br />🍑 Banded Crab Walks⁣<br />Wouldn’t be a #fitspo without it.
