This is the second Cathedral I've been to named after the Russian Prince Alexander Nevsky. The last one in Sofia was built by the Bulgarians in honour of Russian soldiers who died for tgeir freedom.
This one was built by the Russians while occupying Estonia. The Estonians wanted to tear it down as soon as they got their freedom but thank god they didnt because it is so beautiful and is actually what inspired me to travel to the Baltics!
