Mister Cat was the last kitty on the @nycacc adoption van at an Adoptapalooza event a few years ago. He came home with us after the event and we noticed he was drinking a lot. Sure enough, we did bloodwork and Mister was diabetic. He was started on insulin and a canned only diet and within a few months, Mister didn’t need insulin anymore but needed to stay on his canned-only diet which meant he would have to be in his own room at our place.
The wonderful folks @kitnipbox stepped in and Mister became the Chief Toy Testing Officer at their offices while we continued to try and find him a permanent home. When KitNipBox expanded, they went to a building that wouldn’t allow Mister, so one of the directors took him home but his resident kitty was NOT happy. After trying everything to make the two tolerate each other failed, with the help of everyone at KitNipBox, we found Mister another home where he lived for over a year. Unfortunately the circumstances changed and once again Mister came back to us.
Not being deterred, his friends at his old job came through once again and yesterday Mister Cat went to his new home.
We don’t know much of Mister’s story before he landed at ACC but if it was anything like the last few years, this boy has been on quite an adventure, touching hearts and making impressions along the way.
