I've just handed back the 2019 Lexus ES I've been testing over the last 48 hours. This 7th generation self charging hybrid comes with a 4 cylinder, 2.5l petrol engine and a hybrid system that powers the front wheels. It's a car made for efficiency and luxury, which seems to be a rare combination and in my opinion there will always be trade-offs as a result. However, I'm genuinely impressed by it and can honestly say it's like a 'junior' LS (Lexus' most luxurious saloon).
