It’s easy to get frustrated and defeated. The garage has flooded a couple of times. When the garage was new and my daughter was about 1month old-if that- it flooded for the first time. I’ll never forget that night. I was getting over a difficult delivery and the stress of the early days of motherhood and I had to somehow clear out 2 inches of rain water. I soaked and wrung out towel after towel after towel. I had my daughter in a play pack and I just got it done. I think I cried a lot that night. And made some walk me off the edge calls to my mom and dad. It flooded last year again. I remember thinking that I was hearing a huge amount of rain coming down. I went out to the garage and saw a flood of water move in in a matter of seconds. Again hours with the towels. Again feeling tired. Today I tackled the water before it got inside. I filled bucket after bucket after bucket. I was tired. Frustrated and feeling the pressure of managing a house on my own....and then I realized it was all ok. I decided to have a little fun with it with the paddle board. I put on loud music and just got it done !
