If you’ve been wondering why it seems like south Florida has been feeling more overpopulated lately with a higher than usual influx in vehicles and local pedestrians throughout our local neighborhoods, then wonder no more. In concordance with WPLG Local 10 News, Florida gained more than 300,000 new residents in 2018, according to new data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Wednesday. To elaborate, Florida ranked fifth in the nation in terms of percentage of growth, behind Nevada, Idaho, Utah and Arizona and had the highest level of net domestic migration in the year 2018. Within the past eight years alone, Florida has added more than 2.5 million residents and many of them residing in southern regions of Florida such as Miami. Thoughts ?
