He has many medical issues that make daily life difficult. Traveling with a child with special needs is one thing that I am well versed in and it is HARD!!! Want to hear the good news? There are many options available to you, as a family, to make your trip just a little easier. Did you know that Beaches resorts have kids camps that are certified Autism centers? While there your family can meet Sesame Street character Julia, a sweet and curious 4 year old with Autism. Mom and dad can enjoy time alone knowing that your child is well taken care of by a Beaches team member that has completed this rigorous Autism training program.
Heading out on a cruise? Special Needs at Sea works directly with your cruise line to bring special needs equipment to your stateroom for you. How great is that?! In addition to my real life experiences, I am also a Certified Autism Travel Planner with tons of great resources for families who have special travel needs of all kinds, not just Autism.
Life with a family member who has special needs can make planning a family vacation a little bit tougher but don't let it dissuade you from getting out there and having fun!!
.
.
.
.
#autismtravel #autism #hopelessnomadic #lbactravel #chromosome18
