KARAKUŞ TÜMÜLÜSÜ ( ANIT MEZAR ) ( M.Ö. 1.yy ) 🌱🌿🇹🇷
Üzeri taşlardan oluşan tümülüs ve etrafındaki sütunların yer aldığı bu yapı; Kommagene krallık ailesine ait bir anıt mezardır. Güneydeki sütun üzerinde kartal,doğudaki sütunlar üzerinde aslan ve boğa, batıdaki sütun üzerinde ise kral II. Mithridates'in kız kardeşi Laodike ile tokalaşma kabartması yer alır. Doğudaki sütun üzerinde yer alan yazıta göre bu mezar II. Mithridates'in ( M.Ö. 36-20 ) annesi İsias, kız kardeşi Antiochis ve yeğeni Aka'ya aittir.
KARAKUS TUMULUS ( MONUMENT GRAVE ) ( I. Century B.C. )🌱🌿 🇹🇷
The tumulus construction is a memorial grave of Commagene Royal Family;its upper surface is formed with broken stones and there are columns around it. There is an eagle on the southern column, a lion and a bull on the eastern column, a relief showing King Mithridates II. Shaking hands with his sister Laodike. According to the inscription on the eastern column, this grave belongs to mother of Mithridates II. (B.C. 36-20 ) Isias, his sister Antiochis and niece Aka.
