‘the father, the son’ has only three characters (four, kinda). That’s deliberate as the film was written as a Greek tragedy, which (if you’re not counting the chorus) tend to be thematically heavy productions with very few actors. We chose anamorphic lenses for that exact reason— to emphasize that sense of being totally ‘alone.’ Something we also echoed by the title sequence being the widest shot of Earth possible. Oh, I also like Kurzels Macbeth and the color Blue. .
