#IeraOdos , the Sacred Road, got its name because it was the path of the mysts participating in the Eleusian Mysteries in antiquity. Until the opening of the New National Road in the 1960s it was the only way in and out of #Athens. It is the street of my #almamater the #AgriculturalUniversityofAthens at number 75 in the neighborhood of #Votanikos. When I was an undergrad the top end of Iera Odos had many #nightclubs in old industrial sites with A list singers singing in front of a live audience of 5-10,000 people in each one. Today there are even more clubs. This is why I like Las Vegas, it is similar to my home town
