It is 50 years to the day that Apollo 11 launched from Merritt Island, Florida, carrying Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin, on the first manned-mission to the Moon!
The experience of the astronaut has of course been a major influence on pop music in this past half century.
