Perhaps it’s as simple as that. If we can exhale our anxieties, fears of the future and the unknown we are truly able to live, be free. If we are not careful our mindset keeps us trapped from being truly happy. Whether it’s a diagnosis or a decision we must accept or make, a change or putting in more effort or less, the first step is deciding to go for it. If you put no effort in, expect no results. No growth. No lessons. Being an autism mom is only one slice of my life. I’m also much more than that. I know for many moms and dads it doesn’t feel like that somedays. It’s ok, today is a new day, find something you love doing and do more of that. More of what makes you content and what makes you come alive. Breathe. Relax. Let go of what you cannot control. Enjoy the little moments. Time is fleeting, don’t waste it on fears, doubts or being discouraged. You got this!
