✨SUCCESS STORY ✨ •
What a BLESSING it is to watch a child learn and grow. Last week I supported a child who always plays by herself to play with her peers at preschool in the pretend kitchen. In the midst of interactions, she had the biggest smile on her face, gave me beautiful eye contact & leaned in to give me the biggest, tightest hug (she had never done that before)!! 😭😱 •
How lucky am I as an OT to be able to support her to engage with her peers, to increase her confidence & watch her spontaneously initiate interactions and follow her friends’ lead in play. To be able to witness her social engagement and participation, to support her to make her first few friendships and learn the skills that will form the basis of her friendships for the rest of her life. I left feeling like I was on cloud 9 ☁️🥰 •
Thanking the universe that somehow and someway it led me to this career and that I will continuously learn so that I can look forward to these little moments of joy for decades to come 🙏🥳 •
