If you’re struggling with knowing what would truly make you happy, then you’re unclear on your personal values.
& that’s ok. For now. There’s no need to know everything at once.
But you should think about values very intentionally, if you haven’t before.
Especially if you have chronic illness.
If you obsess over your illness,
it consumes all your thoughts,
and you keep thinking you’ll be happy when you’re healthy,
then you need to get clear about values.
Examples of values:
- Family + friends (aka: connection/community)
- Intimate relationships (like marriage or partnership)
- Excelling in your career (moving up the ladder or improving your business)
- Spirituality (connecting with God/Universe)
- Geographical location (do you like where you live or the home you’re in?)
- Health values (what does health mean to you? No pain, ever? Being able to move? Living independently?)
Once you understand your values, you know what to focus on. You can leave out all the other noise, and the fog can finally begin to clear.
Let me know in the comments ⤵️... what’s your biggest value? And how often do you get to live it?
