This past weekend I made sorbet for the first time. It was so fantastic and so simple, I had to share the recipe.
3 cups watermelon 🍉 or cantaloupe ( there are so many fruits you could use )
1 TBS fresh lemon or lime juice (more to taste)
1 drop or two of lemon 🍋 or lime Vitality essential oil for added flavor boost ( optional )
1 TBS honey ( more to taste )
Fresh mint🌱
Spread out fruit on a baking sheet covered with wax paper or parchment; freeze for 6-8 hours.
Place frozen fruit and juice in a food processor and let rest for several minutes. Add honey, a few mint leaves and process until smooth. If mixture is too thick, add 1 TBS warm water. Make sure to taste and adjust the citrus, honey and mint. Left in the freezer overnight, I found it was best left out for a while to soften. I also ended up adding a drizzle of honey on top. It was so delicious!!
