Do you wanna know one of the oldest design tricks in the book?
Well, here it is:
CREATE BALANCE
The easiest way to do that is to rely on symmetry. This allows you to get it right almost every time!
However, sometimes it makes things feel too perfect.
One of the ways I like to stretch myself when it comes to designing and styling a space is to create that balance with asymmetry.
It’s actually really difficult to get it right, but with a trained eye it can be done — and you can always tell if it’s not done right.
This bedroom, for example, from the @aaNovo design and build team is the perfect visual of this. (Swipe it done in the whole room!)
I took what was there and edited it in such a way to provide that perfect balance and give the space a lived in feel.
You would never believe the planning and all the hands that were involved in making even this one simple shot look perfect! But, these detailed shots were worth all the effort!
What nobody will tell you is that there’s a LOT of work that goes on behind the scenes to get the pretty pictures you see all over the Internet. (You heard it here first!)
