The 1996 Corton-Charlemagne from Olivier Leflaive shows a matured bouquet of ripe pears, quinces, and beeswax, plus a distinct note of dried herbs. Rather soft in the mouth, and lacking a bit for grip and structure. Pretty ripe but no signs of premox. Medium-long, rich but a bit blurry finish. All together good to drink but far away from a high-class Corton-Charlemagne; once again.
86 NP, drink up
