Several years ago I learned something that truly changed the way I think about being frustrated! Did you know that the Greek word ( from which so much of our language comes ) AMBITION has the same root as the word FRUSTRATION?
Many times when we feel frustrated it’s because we don’t see that we are progressing and therefore we assume we are failing - when actually we feel frustrated because we are ambitious and we were created by God to grow …to progress.. to learn… to get stronger. I have learned that when I feel frustrated it’s not a sign of me losing but rather an indication that I need to focus a little more in a certain area or tweek a system here and there. I’ve learned to let frustration be an indicator that progress is right around the corner when I continue to focus on the disciplines and activities that contribute to progress! You are frustrated because you are ambitious!
