That’s what time my alarm clock was set to go off this morning.
Hit snooze twice, then 5-4-3-2-1’d my feet to the floor.

Today was the first day back to work for staff meetings that were starting at my usual work hours. Next Tuesday, 4:45 am will be my daily routine once again.

It took me a minute to remember something after I hit snooze. I had to call on something I heard a while ago when I was listening to a podcast. See, the alarm clock is actually an OPPORTUNITY clock. And when I thought about it that way this morning, it actually helped me get my arse outta bed.

I was gifted another morning to open my eyes (albeit early 😂). I was given another opportunity to wake up. To workout. To go to work. To enjoy the sunshine. To see my colleagues. To spend time with my family. To learn. To grow. To rest. To love.

So, there’s my Thursday tip for you today!

When that alarm clock goes off tomorrow morning, especially if you’re setting it earlier than you have to so you can do something to take care of yourself, rename it. Reframe it. Let it become your opportunity clock instead. See if that helps you stumble outta bed just a wee bit sooner.

I got up 2 hours earlier than I needed to before work this morning. And in that time, I chatted with some ladies in our group, got a 45 min workout in, let the dogs out, fed them, and did my gratitude journal. I also left for work NOT in a rush. Lol. That’s worth it’s weight in gold! 😂

But see all the opportunities that I allowed myself just for thinking of my alarm clock a little differently?

Now you can too. ❤️
