I wanted to share a bit of a song I have been writing. The inspiration for this song came from a time when I was struggling with some bad habits, repeatedly doing things I knew were wrong.
Eventually, I found a big part of the cure was spending more time in the Bible. In Ephesians 6:10-17, it talks about the armour of God. The last piece of the armour is the “sword of the spirit, which is the word of God”. That line inspired the hook for this song - “My weapon is the truth”
Learning to use God’s word as armour, and a weapon against darkness, has been a big lesson for me to learn over the past couple years.
