This corner of my kitchen has always perplexed me. I want a cute little vignette, but it just perpetually seems disjointed and cluttered. Here's a couple of design tricks to fix the situation.
1) The rule of three: Our eyes and brains favour odd numbers of items grouped together, especially when they are varied in height, shape and size, and texture. Here I decluttered slightly, moving the picture to another location, because it was hidden here, and the watering can closer to my plants.
2) Ground vignettes with trays or baskets: I always felt the items while perfectly lovely to look at, felt disconnected and like they were floating on the counter. The second I placed them on the tray it became an intentional moment in the space.
