Another option is putting a child's normal coat on them, but while they're still in the carrier. This means the back of T's coat goes over the carrier.
I then got chilly, so put my coat on back to front (2nd picture). In this picture, you can also see he put both hoods up, carrier, and coat ! You could also put your coat on first before the carrier.
