Spent a lovely mid-morning around DUMBO in Brooklyn. DUMBO stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, one of the famous Instagrammable spots in New York City famous for its cobblestone streets & red brick buildings. Now a trendy neighborhood in Brooklyn, the area used to be filled with warehouses and factories which fell into disrepair when those factories moved out of the borough. Those factories have since been converted into luxury apartments & shopping arcades with a well-curated selection of retail stores and hip restaurants. I also went up the roof deck of Time Out Market (a former sugar warehouse situated on the banks of East River that now houses a food court) to enjoy a couple of cocktails while admiring the picturesque view of Brooklyn Bridge, the East River & the famed skyline of Lower Manhattan.
