Hello Darkness my old friend... Or how I embrace Winter solstice, the shortest and darkest day of the year:
I light a candle or two (or three or four). I prepare a mug of hot chocolate (with some “optional” marshmallows). I curl up under the blanket (alone is perfect, but in good company is also perfect). I put on a romantic Christmas movie (like The Holiday or Love Actually, or both actually). I sip the hot chocolate and enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling (and almost feel sorry that from tomorrow on the days will start to get a little bit longer and longer again...)
