Shout out to stromatolites, our first photosynthesizers. These layers of cyanobacteria brought oxygen to our planet 3 billion years ago. Like the stromatolites, this piece took a lot of time. It took 150 hours. Using repetitive linework and dotwork, I mimicked their fossilized shape. Creating it helped me practice living in the moment and strengthen my patience.
