Nefer 3 was created by the Japanese designer Kazuhide Takahama for Sirrah in 1986. It’s part of the Nefer series which were made in two different table lamps versions and one floor lamp version. The base of this lamp is made from white marble, it supports four 24K gold-plated columns, over which a white fabric shade is draped over the top, housing a bulb within.<br /><br />Kazuhide Takahama was born in Japan in 1930 and after completing his studies in Architecture in Tokyo he started working in Kazuo Fuioka’s studio. In 1957, he went to Italy to visit the Triennale in Milan where he met Dino Gavina. He developed his own well-defined style in a climate of profuse cultural exchanges.
