My Neighbour Totoro, live at the Barbican Theatre ROUND 2!! (1/2)
Last night was awe inspiring. The bunraku style puppetry was as impeccable as the first time around (if not better), the cast gave perfect performances that fully embodied the eccentricities of the anime characters, the stage scenery and direction was spot on and so convincing that you felt whisked away to Totoro's magical forest, and the live music provided the integral ambiance that ties the entire show together - with a beautiful and delicate mix of Japanese and English vocals.
Thank you @totoroshow @barbicancentre @thersc @joehisaishi_composer , and everyone involved, you made the night unforgettable and brought tears of joy and nostalgia to our eyes. Incredible experience thanks to all of you.
