The Onipaʻa March specifically commemorates the illegal overthrow of the sovereign nation of Hawaii by the U.S. military January 17th 1893. This year, the march (of an estimated 5000 people from across the islands) was led by Lahaina Strong. Honored to call these community leaders friends and to be invited to partake in such a powerful day.
